Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and TieOut (“TieOut”, “we”) for using tieout.fyi and the TieOut app. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
TieOut converts bank and credit-card statements you upload into spreadsheet files and checks the extracted transactions against the statement's balances. You need an account to use it, and you're responsible for activity under your account.
Your data
- You keep all rights to the statements you upload and the data extracted from them.
- You may only upload statements you're authorised to process, such as your own or a client's who has engaged you.
- How we handle that data is described in our privacy page: uploaded PDFs are deleted as soon as they're read, and you can delete extracted rows at any time.
Check the results
TieOut uses automated extraction. The balance check is designed to catch misread figures, but you're responsible for reviewing exported data before relying on it. TieOut is a data tool, not accounting, tax or financial advice.
Plans and billing
- Free includes 3 statements a month. Pro is $12 a month for 150 statements, billed monthly in advance until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles applicable sales tax. Dodo Payments' buyer terms apply to your purchase.
- You can cancel anytime from Billing in the app; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds follow our refund policy.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no uploading files you have no right to process, attempting to break or overload the service, reselling access, or creating multiple accounts to get around plan limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and liability
We work to keep TieOut available and accurate, but the service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
